Inside the parcel

Sixteen pages, every one of them art-directed rather than clip-arted.

Page 2

The Official Programme

Host instructions written as postal regulations, with a timeline for the evening. Regulation 13(a): no séance shall proceed without snacks.

Page 3

Invitations

Two to a sheet, in a gothic moth-and-candle frame, with blanks for date, time and address. Dress code line included: Victorian optional, curiosity mandatory.

Pages 4–5

Ghost-name place cards

Fold-tent cards for twelve departed guests — Madame Wintermoth, The Late Mr. Pemberton, Sister Calamity, Doctor Umbra — plus blanks for your own.

Pages 6–9

Game one — The Register of Departed Souls

Eight character cards. Each guest becomes a departed soul with three facts and one secret piece of Unfinished Business, sealed upside down. The table interrogates each soul through the Medium; whoever guesses the Unfinished Business claims the estate, which is a snack of their choosing.

Pages 10–12

Game two — Séance Bingo

Six differently shuffled 4×4 boards of the things statistically certain to happen: candle-related drama, a knock nobody will admit to, hands held thirty percent too tightly, someone peeking during the eyes-closed part.

Page 13

The Medium's Script

A five-minute read-aloud séance for the host, with stage directions, ending by summoning dessert. This is the centrepiece of the evening and the reason the whole thing holds together.

Pages 14–15

Menu card and potion tags

A framed menu page and eight cut-out tags for the dishes and drinks — The Medium's Punch, Bone Broth of Dubious Origin, Ectoplasm on Toast.

Page 16

Certificates of Survival

Two to a sheet, for the living to take home: this certifies that ______ attended the séance of ______ and returned approximately intact.

How it works

Pay $14 at the counter. The PDF arrives immediately — no waiting, no shipping, no customs.

Print what you need on ordinary paper. Every page is set for US Letter and prints cleanly on A4 without cropping anything that matters.

Cut the place cards, soul cards and potion tags along their lines. Scissors help; nothing needs lamination, though the office admires ambition.

Reprint it next year, and the year after. The file is yours and it does not expire.

Not sure yet? Print two of the bingo boards free — no email, no account. They're cut from this kit, and the six inside are different again.

Questions the window gets asked

What do I actually need?

A printer — yours, a friend's, or the corner print shop's — and ordinary paper. Nothing else.

Letter or A4?

Both. Choose "fit to page" if your printer is the anxious sort.

Will it drink all my ink?

It's a gothic parcel; it enjoys ink. If your cartridge is nervous, print the bingo boards and place cards in draft mode — the ceremony survives, and the ghosts have never once complained about contrast.

How many guests does it cover?

Twelve place cards, eight soul cards, six bingo boards. Comfortable for six to eight at the table, and the bingo boards reprint as often as you like.

What if it disappoints?

Regulation 9: refunded within fourteen days, no interrogation. Write to post@oddparcel.com.
