Odd Parcel
Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data oddparcel.com collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and how you can have it removed. It applies to this website and to the email newsletter we send.
Odd Parcel is a one-person independent shop selling printable party kits and puzzles. It is operated from India. We are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at any time at post@oddparcel.com.
1. What we collect
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Only if you subscribe to our newsletter, the Dead Letter Office | To send you the weekly letter and deliver any free printable you asked for |
| Order details (your email, what you bought, receipt) | When you buy something | To deliver the product and handle refunds or support |
| Product claim code | If you enter a purchase code to unlock the crossword tool | To confirm the purchase is valid and keep the tool unlocked on your device |
| Aggregate usage statistics (page views, referring site, country, device type) | On every visit | To see which pages are read, in aggregate only |
| Server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) | On every visit | Created automatically by our host for security and reliability |
We never see your payment details. All purchases are processed by Gumroad as merchant of record. Your card number never reaches this website or its operator.
2. Who processes data for us
We use a small number of third-party services. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to sell your data.
- Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA) — stores newsletter subscriber email addresses and sends the letters. Their privacy policy.
- Gumroad, Inc. (USA) — merchant of record. Processes payments, issues receipts, delivers files, and verifies purchase claim codes. Their privacy policy.
- Vercel Inc. (USA) — hosts the website and provides our privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. Their privacy policy.
Because these providers are based in the United States, data associated with the services above is processed there.
3. Cookies and local storage
We set no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless and do not follow you between websites or build a profile of you.
We use your browser's local storage for exactly one functional purpose: if you unlock the crossword tool with a purchase claim code, that code is saved on your own device so you do not have to type it in again. It stays in your browser, and clearing your browser data removes it.
4. How long we keep it
- Newsletter email addresses — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
- Order records — retained by Gumroad under their own policy, as they are the merchant of record and may need them for tax and refund purposes.
- Analytics — aggregate only, and never tied to an identifiable person.
- Server logs — kept briefly by our host and then rotated away.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or erase it. You can also object to our processing or ask for a copy of your data in a portable format.
- To unsubscribe: every letter has an unsubscribe link, and it works the first time.
- To be erased entirely: write to post@oddparcel.com and we will remove your records and confirm when it is done.
We answer within two business days, and we will never ask you to justify the request. If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with a data protection authority, you also have the right to complain to that authority.
6. Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us their email address, write to us and we will delete it.
7. Our use of the Pinterest API
We publish our own pin designs to our own Pinterest business account using an internal tool built on the Pinterest API. That tool reads and writes only our own boards, pins, and pin statistics.
It does not access any other Pinterest user's data, and no information about visitors to this website is ever sent to Pinterest.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting newsletter subscribers will also be mentioned in a letter.
9. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints about privacy go to post@oddparcel.com. A person reads the mail.
